whose late father Ulrich was the man who put Europes steepest vineyard the “Bremmer Calmont” back on the wine map recultivating some of the most mind blowing slopes you might have seen
If the weather is nice we will have a picnic lunch in the middle of these crazy vineyards
In the afternoon we will visit one of the best organic producers: Thorsten Melsheimer in Reil www.melsheimer-Riesling.de
who is one of the most passionate winemakers and Bergretters (www.klitzekleinerring.de)

From there we make our way to Axel Pauly in Lieser

He’s one of the up and coming producers of the region.
At around 6:30pm we will be back at Staffelter Hof for the#winelover Dinner party that starts at 7:30pm
On Friday morning when the weather is good we will walk through the Kröv vineyards where we taste some wines from young local producers
For lunch we head to the Art Deco Capital of the Mosel
Traben-Trarbach and eat at the beautiful Hotel Bellevue

Afterwards we will meet with
winemaker Martin Müllen the man who makes arguably the best-aging Rieslings in the valley. he will show us his unusual ways of winemaking and some of his fantastic older vintages.
